Temporary Junior Merchandiser

We are partnering with a well-established and fast-growing fashion and lifestyle brand to recruit a junior merchandiser on a temporary basis, employed directly through the agency.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused junior or assistant merchandiser to support a dynamic, omnichannel trading team within a brand-led retail environment.

The Role

Working closely with buying and merchandising, you will support the optimisation of trading performance across all channels, using insight and data to drive decisions and manage risk.

Key responsibilities include:

Supporting seasonal and stretch planning, identifying risks and opportunities through regular performance review
Managing in-season OTB at category and class level, adapting plans based on current trade and digital insight
Delivering clear trading analysis across all channels, with strong awareness of margin, stock levels and sales potential
Partnering with buying to support sourcing strategies that balance margin, lead times and sustainability
Managing stock levels against plan and challenging assumptions based on current performance
Supporting the critical path from booking through to stock intake, working closely with Imports and supply chain
Conducting regular competitor analysis and sharing insight with the wider trading team
Building strong cross-functional relationships to support department and business objectives

About You:

Previous experience in a merchandising or trading role within fashion or lifestyle retail
Strong numerical and analytical skills, with confidence using data to inform decisions
Commercially minded and able to react quickly in a fast-paced environment
Digitally aware, with a clear understanding of omnichannel trading
Proactive, organised and resilient
A collaborative communicator with strong stakeholder management skills

The Details:

Temporary role, paid weekly/monthly via agency payroll
Competitive day rate / hourly rate (dependent on experience)
Hybrid working: 3–4 days per week in the office
Immediate or short-notice starters preferred
