Site Services Operative
Thatcham
Our Site Services team are now looking for a Site Service Operative to support the maintenance function in our state-of-the-art hub in Thatcham.
About the Role
This is a physical role which covers a large expanse of our Distribution Centre. Manual handling experience is preferred. Forklift License is also preferred, however not essential as training can be provided. This role is an all-weather role, working in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
In this role you will be responsible for:
Assisting with the Harrods recycling programme as a site specialist for the Thatcham operation.
Maintaining the cleanliness of the warehouse and yards using provided equipment to uphold high standards of housekeeping and health and safety.
Efficiently sorting materials and recyclables across both the main and satellite sites
Handling the unloading, sorting, stacking, and repairing of pallets onto trailers
Collaborating with internal and external colleagues to ensure seamless
operations.
Supporting the Site Services Team in various day-to-day tasks.
Aiming to achieve and maintain a recycling percentage of 90% or higher.
This position works 5 days our of 7, with working hours of 7am-3pm Monday to Friday and regular weekend work 7am-3pm.
Depending on your role, you may be fully on-site or have a mix of on-site and home working – this is what we refer to as ‘Hybrid’. Our hybrid working policy allows colleagues to work from home for part of the week, with a minimum of three days on-site, depending on business needs.

You will have great timekeeping ability with flexibility to support the team across multiple functions with the team end goal in mind.
