The Old Crown , Bookham Surrey will be opening in mid-autumn 2025

We are thrilled to announce our next opening in the beautiful town of Bookham in ​A​utum 2025, so we have an amazing opportunity for an experienced ​Senior Sous Chef to join our fantastic team.

Located on the village’s High Street, The Old Crown dates back to the 1930’s and was built by Kingston brewery Hodgson’s. A landmark of the village, the pub will undergo an extensive multi-million pound refurbishment to create 150 covers in the enhanced bar and dining room and a further 50 covers in the large enclosed garden. The pub will feature Heartwood’s signature quirky welcoming style with cosy snugs, rich colour schemes and textures that reflect the history of the pub and the local area.

About You:

Have passion and a proven track record in running service from the line, fresh food cuisine and delivering training and support to chefs
Able to work on and run any sections in the kitchen team, demonstrate leadership skills and assist the head chef
3-4 years experience in a Senior Sous Chef role or similar, with exposure to branded operations and financial aspects of running a kitchen
