A global retailer is looking for a planning data analyst to join its supply chain team at its London office. This organisation has some of the biggest names and most well-loved brands in its market. It is a multi-billion-dollar organisation distributing product to over 80 countries, with offices in Hong Kong, China, London, France, Spain and Germany. Due to exponential year-on-year growth, all offices are growing the teams across all functions.

This is a new role into the supply chain structure, following a restructure. The role will cover the UK and European markets that this retailer operates in. The planning data analyst is the analytical engine and "tool-builder" for the planning department. Reporting to the change manager, you will drive the evolution of existing planning capabilities by designing and maintaining robust Excel and Google Sheets tools. You will work in close daily partnership with the S&OP manager and the senior demand & supply managers, providing the insights and the reliable toolsets required to optimize inventory and improve forecast accuracy across Europe.

The ideal candidate will have four to five years’ experience in an analyst capacity and will be able to demonstrate sound interpretation of data, to make recommendations and improvements that will drive the planning department forward. You’ll have a strong proficiency in SQL or relational database logic, and experience with self-serve BI Tools. You’ll need to be an expert in Excel and Google Sheets, this includes advanced formulas (XLOOKUP, Lambda, Dynamic Arrays), Power Query (M), and a deep understanding of data modelling. An interest in utilizing modern tools (such as Python or Generative AI) to assist in script writing and automating repetitive data tasks would be advantageous.

In return they are offering a competitive salary of up to £70,000, a generous bonus and 33 days holiday, including bank holiday entitlement. The office is located in Central London and offers hybrid working. The opportunity will give you the chance to work with one of the biggest and most established names in the sector, that is experiencing growth on a global scale. You’ll also play a significant part in evolving the planning department to achieve its goals of growth and a modernised approach to demand and supply planning.
