Tesco are currently looking for a Pension Manager to manage the Irish pension and life assurance arrangements (Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution), supporting the operation and administration of the schemes and leading on the governance and compliance activity for the Trustees. This role will work closely with the employee benefits team in Ireland to help develop pensions strategy and drive colleague engagement and education on pensions.

You will be responsible for:

Overseeing all day to day operational aspects relating to pensions including working with payroll, external providers and the Defined Benefit admin team in Tesco Business Services, Bengaluru
Acting as secretary to the Defined Benefit pension schemes including taking responsibility for driving the Trustee agenda, preparing meeting packs, recording minutes of meetings and monitoring management information.
Supporting the day to day administration of DB schemes, providing technical and practical support:

- Supporting the various administration requirements and cyclical activities of the pension schemes

- Assisting with complex member queries or technical questions

Managing the relationship with the DC pension provider and supporting the internal governance committee that oversees the plan
Planning and leading pensions projects, process improvements or change to meet new legislative or practice requirements
Working with the communications team to help implement pension related communications and to support member engagement/education
Managing supplier relationships
Forecasting and managing my budgets effectively, always being cost conscious
Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence

You will need:

External pensions industry qualification (IIPM)
Up to date knowledge of current and emerging Republic of Ireland pensions legislation
Experience of managing pension schemes
Project Management skills
Numeracy, analytical skills, and the ability to understand complex information
Commercial acumen
Strong communication and presentation skills
Excellent time management and prioritizing skills
