Job Description

Overall Objective:                    

To take responsibility for the catering operation in line with Company policies, Client requirements and financial constraints. To provide leadership and guidance to all team members to ensure a positive customer experience, under the guidance of the Client Centre Manager. To ensure that communication, ownership and excellence is always top priority, to ensure that the Client Centre is well presented and to always play a role of ambassador for BaxterStorey.

Team Management

To make a continuous assessment of the performance of all staff under your supervision in order to establish training needs and development potential.
To ensure that training is carried out in the location to meet identified needs and requirements of the Company training policy.
To ensure that all staff are aware of their duties and the standards required.
To attend training sessions and catering meetings when required.
To take responsibility for the smooth and efficient running of the section/s as appropriate
To motivate and lead by example ensuring you and your team have a positive experience at work and are proud of your efforts.

 

Customer Service

To ensure that customers are given a prompt and efficient service.
To be customer focused at all times, by being visible during meal periods, communicating and determining customer requirements before they do.
To ensure all food is presented and served in line with company minimum standards.
To attend all catering committee meetings when required.

To ensure that all agreed service objectives are met in line with client expectations.

 

Financial Management

To assist in stocktaking
To make management aware of ant sales opportunities
To ensure that stocks are used efficiently

 

Health & Safety Management

To record and report all accidents within the location adhering to location and company procedures.
To ensure all equipment is well maintained and is in good working order.
To make recommendations for renewal and replacement of equipment when required.
To maintain location cleaning schedules.
To ensure that all company procedures and work instructions are fully understood and practised by all employees.
To attend all health & safety training courses as required

 

General Responsibilities

To attend all location management meetings, patch meetings and company meetings as required.
To take responsibility for contributing towards your own development with the guidance of your manager and attend training courses as identified.
To ensure that all company administration procedures are followed in line with the company manuals.
To show commitment to company values in all aspects of your role.
To act as a positive ambassador for the business.
To ensure that you deliver what you promise to customers, clients and your team.
To treat others as you would expect to be treated.
To attend to any reasonable request made by the client or management.

 

Specific Responsibilities

To ensure service personnel are fully aware of their roles
To communicate with the Manager any issues which have arisen and communicate the outcomes to the team
To conduct departmental orientation for all new team members.
To set and monitor service procedures and to ensure through service times the correct merchandising levels are maintained.
To maintain regular discussions with the manager on the current and future performance of the client centre

Assist and complete relevant stock sheets
To build strong client, customer and staff relations
To assist in carrying out monthly Health and Safety audits
To assist in producing weekly, monthly and quarterly reports on service analysis and discuss the outcomes with the Manager
To respond immediately to all customer feedback made during service
Be present at core business times to see and act on delivering of food and beverage resources.
Review daily and future bookings and cascade via team briefings the daily business review and deliverance thereof.
Ensure the entire offer is executed in line with company standards and expectations.
Escalate any issues to the Manager, as soon as they are known.
Empower junior staff through training and delegation, ensuring their progression and development is discussed and action plans developed.
Be a presence on the floor to both the team, and to the firm. Take ownership over the department.
