Gift Shop Retail Manager - Fixed Term Contract
Knightsbridge
We are now looking for two people-focussed and experienced Retail Managers to join our welcoming and close-knit Harrods family within our fantastic Gift Shop department on either an eight-month or 16-month fixed term basis (June 2025 to January 2026 or June 2025 to September 2026).
Our retail offering is evolving as we grow our omnichannel approach, and we are looking for individuals to join our leadership team who are agile and flexible, curious and bold enough to try new things.
About the Role
Being the front-line face of the leadership team, our Retail Managers are skilled at building high-performing teams and delivering effective performance coaching across both face-to-face and virtual channels. This is achieved through high levels of presence on the floor and a natural ability to inspire and engage sales colleagues through story-telling and a culture of continuous feedback.
It’s that authentic and inclusive culture you create, alongside a flair for working with data and insight, that will help your business exceed performance targets and deliver exceptional operational standards – treating your area as your own business within a business.
This role is fully on site, working 5 out of the 7 days a week. Please see our Hybrid@Harrods policy on our Career Site for more information or speak to a member of our Talent Acquisition team if you have any questions regarding the requirements for this role.
About You
You’ll have an exceptional track record in building, leading and supporting teams to achieve success.
You’ll also –
Be a relationship led leader and have proven performance coaching ability, ideally in a fast-paced retail or hospitality environment.
Be a genuine “people person” with a passion for helping others learn and grow. You get a kick out of helping your team members succeed.
Have high levels of emotional intelligence and self-awareness, with the ability to flex your style.
Have the ability and confidence to analyse and interpret multiple data sources and take appropriate actions.
Be commercially astute, with a drive for results and brave enough to challenge the status quo – in the right way.
Have an understanding of and a genuine interest in the luxury customer and their needs.
Be able to evidence strong relationships with concession partners or equivalent.
