Food Buying Admin Assistant

We are currently recruiting for a Food Buying Admin Assistant, with a specific focus in Ambient Fresh and Ingredients.
About the Role
As a Food Buying Admin Assistant, you'll play a key role in supporting our Fresh Food Buying team, working closely with buyers to enhance commercial performance and ensure the smooth running of day-to-day operations. Your work will impact both our in-store and online offerings, as well as our owned and concession-based models.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing invoice processes and article creation through internal systems like SAP and Perceptive Content
Supporting the maintenance and accuracy of product data across all channels
Assisting with pricing updates, promotions, and product hierarchy changes
Collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Merchandising, Retail, and Online Trading
Contributing to process improvement projects and commercial roadmaps
Depending on your role, you may be fully on-site or have a mix of on-site and home working – this is what we refer to as ‘Hybrid’. Our hybrid working policy allows colleagues to work from home for part of the week, with a minimum of three days on-site, depending on business needs.

About You
You will be a highly organised and proactive individual, with a deep-rooted passion for luxury food, who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment. With a keen eye for detail, you’ll take initiative, build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, and manage multiple tasks with accuracy and poise. Your ability to prioritise and problem-solve will be crucial to succeeding in this role.
You will need:
Strong administrative and time-management skills
Previous experience within a food background (preferred, but not essential)
Confidence using Microsoft Excel and Word; knowledge of SAP is a plus
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Fantastic attention to detail where you will be responsible for actioning cost price changes
