We have an exciting opportunity here at Harrods to join our IT team and lead the Architecture function. In this role, you will not only own and operate Enterprise Architecture and Architecture as a whole, but you will drive the IT strategy and 3-5 year technology roadmap, as well as setting the standards and governance around architecture within our Programme and Project Portfolio.

About The Role

The purpose of the role is to continue to strengthen and mature the Architecture practice, leading a team of Domain and Data Architects who support the delivery of new technology solutions across the entire business. You will be responsible for ensuring that we have sensible and robust technology roadmaps across our core applications, integrations and data in place to support the business in meeting their objectives.

You will also;

· Support the CIO in taking ownership for the definition and delivery of Harrods IT strategy, ensuring this is kept alive and relevant to business direction

· Bring a strategic, enterprise lens, that looks holistically across the entire landscape, identifying opportunities for synergy, consolidation as well as newness

· Develop and maintain current and future state enterprise architecture landscape diagrams

· Ensure we are able to catalogue architecture blueprints that guide solution design decisions across all architectural domains

· Implement clear and consistent ways of working across all Architecture activities within the project lifecycle, including strong governance, standards and principles that are adopted and adhered to across the wider IT department

· Manage Architecture resource planning and input into the annual IT budgeting process

· Promote the Architecture practice and the skills the team can bring to projects, and programmes but also help shape the business and IT strategy

· Collaborate closely with the Heads of Delivery and their teams, ensuring they understand the architectural principles and standards to drive effective decision making

· Maintain an overview of the Business Demand request pipeline and IT delivery roadmap

About You

You’ll be an experienced Enterprise Architecture with strong leadership skills and the ability to work with and build a high performing technical team. Whilst SAP is not our only technology focus, you do command an in depth understanding of the broad SAP technology Landscape and the ability to vision and support the transition from current enterprise state to a future state using S4HANA.

You will also;

· Previous experience of bringing an innovative eye and mindset when thinking of how to solve technology problems

· Have owned the creation and delivery of an and to end IT strategy, across application, data, integrations and back end infrastructure

· Previously experience of enabling solution delivery across a retail landscape and have a strong understanding of the technology concepts and domains that support a retail environment

· Established enterprise architecture frameworks, tools, and governance and being able to lead the IT architecture delivery within this context

· Have managed and developed talent, set and managed against performance targets, and built high performance teams.
