About the Role:
As a Digital Marketing Assistant, you will work closely with the Digital Marketing Manager and greater E-Commerce team to support and execute a wide range of digital marketing activities. You’ll play a key role in managing digital campaigns, collaborating with third-party agencies, and helping to optimise our digital channels to drive customer engagement and commercial growth.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Marketing
Assist in planning and creating email marketing campaigns to maximize reach and optimise engagement.
Write clear, concise briefs for campaign emails and coordinate with the Design agency.
Build and test campaign emails for approval by the Digital Marketing Manager.
Analyse email campaign performance (Open Rates, CTR, Conversion Rates, Revenue) and recommend improvements.
Liaise with third-party agencies to support digital initiatives across PPC, Paid Social, SEO, Affiliate Management etc.
Support the Digital Marketing Manager on all Affiliate Publisher communications to ensure campaign success.
Support and create SEO content planning, including blog posts and website copy.
Work with our UGC platform Storystream and approve content based on business needs.
Work closely with the Marketing department and Social Media Executive to ensure digital marketing and organic social marketing strategies are aligned.
Reporting
Prepare weekly email performance reports, analysing data to help improve future marketing campaigns.
Understand key performance indicators (KPIs) and support the Digital Marketing Manager on strategies to maximise revenue and margin.
Conduct competitor analysis and communicate insights to E-Commerce Team.
Administrative Duties
Plan and organise your workload effectively to meet deadlines and manage ad hoc tasks efficiently.
Proactively communicate any issues or risks to the team to ensure prompt resolution.
Maintain accurate documentation and keep all systems updated with relevant information.
Ensure all business-related website information is current and accurate.
Update site imagery via Salesforce Commerce Cloud when needed.
What We’re Looking For:
· A degree or diploma in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field is often preferred but not always essential.
· Internship or work experience (6 months to 1 year) in digital marketing or related roles, such as marketing assistant, social media assistant or content coordinator.
· Experience assisting with digital campaigns across channels such as email, social media, SEO, PPC, or affiliate marketing.
· Basic knowledge of content management systems (CMS) like WordPress, Shopify, or similar.
· Exposure to email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Campaign Monitor, Dotdigital).
· Basic understanding of Google Analytics or similar analytics tools to track website and campaign performance.
· Experience with social media platforms for business (Facebook, Instagram,Tiktok)
· Assist in creating clear, engaging, and on-brand copy for digital marketing materials such as emails, website content, social media posts, and promotional campaigns.
· Knowledge of SEO fundamentals and PPC basics is a plus.
· Ability to collect, interpret, and present data in a clear and actionable way.
· Experience using Excel or Google Sheets for basic data analysis and reporting.
· Good written and verbal communication skills to create briefs, support content creation, and liaise with internal teams and external agencies.
