The DevOps Engineer will be based in the Harrods Digital Technology Team, responsible for support and overall service of all production and non-production application environments across the digital estate, as well as ownership and management of all associated deployment pipelines.

About the role

As the DevOps Engineer you will support all day-to-day operational activities while working hands on as part of the team. Working closely with Digital Technology, you will align with the development lifecycle to support the effective delivery of new functionality and projects.

You will need to collaborate with a variety of different teams across the Harrods business, including the wider IT function, plus a range of third-party technology partners to ensure seamless service. Good attention to detail is important so that you can maintain high standards in delivering a robust & reliable service for our customers and business.

This DevOps Engineer role is fully remote with occasional travel to the office in line with business requirements.

About you

You will have demonstrable hands on experience in Azure cloud, and Azure DevOps, deploying highly available, scalable, and resilient applications and infrastructure. You will have excellent problem determination skills and the ability to diagnose complex technical issues. Our ideal candidate will have experience with the below:

Experience CICD Pipelines, deploying scalable web/ mobile applications in the cloud with Experience with Azure Cloud and Azure DevOps
Experience of Development and framework languages .NET and C#
Experience of scripting languages such as Python,, PowerShell
monitoring and troubleshooting business critical application such as web and mobile apps using logs, application monitoring, and synthetic monitoring.
Experience of ITSM tool, ITIL and ISO 27001
Experience of Deploying infrastructure as code (Pulumi preferred)
Experience in containerisation technology (e.g Docker, AKS).
Experience in containerisation technology (e.g Docker, AKS)
Experience with database technologies must be MSQL and Cosmos DB
