Assistant Merchandiser

We are looking for a junior merchandiser to join our dynamic footwear retailer. In this role, you will own trading your department, including forecasting sales, managing linecards, placing repeats, and planning markdowns to drive commercial success.

You’ll be fully responsible for allocations and distribution, working closely with stores to ensure stock packages maximise sales potential without overstocking—paying special attention to flagship locations, German stores, our website, and concessions. You’ll plan options by grade to avoid over-optioning stores and work with the Buying team on future range planning and forecasting to seize every sales opportunity.

Supporting the Merchandiser, you’ll update and plan in the WSSI system and manage departmental intake to maintain optimal stock flow and meet warehouse targets. Producing and analysing daily and weekly reports, you’ll provide valuable insight for the Merchandising team, present figures in meetings, and play an active role in driving business decisions.

You’ll also support, develop, and train the allocator to achieve department and individual goals, and handle ad hoc analysis as required. If you’re data-driven, commercially aware, and want to grow your merchandising career in a fast-paced retail environment, we’d love to hear from you
