Online fashion retailer Zalando reported sales in the fourth quarter had grown by 25-26%, taking the total revenue in this period to £1.086bn. This marks a recovery on the 17% in growth from the third quarter, however according to Thomson Reuters Smart Estimates, the total comes out to be slightly less than the forecasts of £1.12bn. In an effort to offset some of these shortfalls, the company is opening a distribution hub in Sweden with the aim of shortening delivery times in the Nordic area. This should take the time from 2-5 days to 1-2 days, with the hub being set to open at the end of the year.
