The Yoox Net-a-Porter group sales soared over Thanksgiving period, with Black Friday and Cyber Monday marking its highest sales days on record. Its Black Friday sales soared 82% compared to 2014.
The luxury e-commerce player received one order every 1.4 seconds on Cyber Monday. The most expensive item sold was a set of Kimberly McDonald 18-karat gold, crystal opal and diamond earrings, purchased by a customer in San Francisco for $27,307.
The highest share of sales came from North America, followed by the UK. North America also reached the highest sales growth, with a 101% increase compared to 2014 Thanksgiving weekend.

In October a merger brought together the Italian Yoox group and Net-a-Porter, two companies that have essentially revolutionised the luxury fashion industry since their conception in 2000.
