Will we be seeing more collaborations with big names in the future?
The answer is most likely yes we will.
In the corporate world two of the UK’s largest supermarkets Sainsbury’s and Asda have announced a £7.3bn merger, that’s big news. Their revenues are going upwards of £51bn, their staff 330,000 and their stores growing up to 2,800. The two giants have essentially “leapfrogged” the competition, becoming the largest grocery seller in the UK overnight.
With the market moving the way it is, there have been many predictions that merging may be a smart move for some companies pushing forward revenue and many other aspects quite like the Sainsbury’s-Asda merger.
It is predicted that within the next five years, there will be a lot less stand-alone retail corporations in the UK.
