It has been reported that fashion retailer Whistles is in talks with potential investors for an undisclosed stake in its business.
The company is currently lead by Jane Shepherdson, also known as the most powerful woman in British fashion, who has been chief executive since 2008. Ms Shepherdson was responsible for Topshop’s expansion under Sir Philip Green.
No details have currently been released, which includes any current assessment of financial performance, however latest figures show that Whistles’ turnover was around £63 million over 53 weeks.
Currently Whistles has 50 standalone stores in the UK and Ireland and 75 concessions.
