Profits from the 6 months to February 28th rose by 2% on the same period last year, with the retailer amassing a total of £643m in this time. Like-for-like sales in its high-street stores fell by 3% however much of this was offset by an increase of 5% in sales for the company’s travel arm. Due to these sales figures, overall group profit before tax rose to £83m up by 4% despite high street profit remaining flat at £53m.
