UK retailers saw sales drop for the third consecutive month in a row, with analysts suggesting that the rise in living costs in the wake of Brexit continues to have a significant impact on consumer spending. Sales in March were said to be down by 1% when compared to last year, according to the British Retail Consortium. They also warned that the figures may be skewed slightly due to the differences in the timing of Easter between 2016 and 2017, where the former was in March and the latter in April.
