Topps Tiles has announced that it has seen a rise of 4.7% in like-for-like sales in the first half of its financial year and a 4.9% rise in its second quarter.
In the 26 weeks to 2nd April, total revenues were £108million in comparison to £104million the previous year.
The company said it is continuing to make good progress with its strategy of "out-specialising the specialists".
During this time the company has launched 17 new tile ranges, opened four new stores and rolled out its new wall displays to replace third party stands.
Topps Tiles currently trade from 342 stores which include 13 boutique stores.
Chief executive, Matthew Williams, said: "I am pleased to report that the group has continued its encouraging trading performance, with like-for-like sales growth accelerating to 4.9% in the second quarter. Our strategy of 'Out-Specialising the Specialists' is continuing to deliver profitable sales growth and we enter the second half of our financial year in good shape, confident that our plans to extend the appeal of the Topps brand will underpin our further progress."
