DIY retailer Topps Tiles has reported it has reached record sales in its full-year report, however it stays uncertain on how the post-Brexit vote downturn in customer confidence may affect the company in the future.
Figures show that sales increased 1.3% to a record £215 million in the 52 weeks to the 1st October, whilst like-for-like store sales rose 4.2% in the same period.
Topps Tiles commented saying it was not yet clear how the widespread downturn in consumer confidence, which came about as a result of the EU referendum, would impact the business in the future.
Meanwhile, Matthew Williams, chief executive said they were "well placed" for growth, with like-for-like sales experiencing a small 0.8% uptick in the first eight weeks of the current financial year.
