Mondelez International, the product makers of popular chocolate bar Toblerone has revealed that it will be spacing out its distinguishing triangular chocolate chunks due to an increase in the price of ingredients.
The company will be changing the design to reduce the weight of its 400g and 170g bars, which has upset fans of the chocolate bar’s distinctive shape.
The company commented: "We chose to change the shape to keep the product affordable for our customers."
Meanwhile, consumers questioned the logic of the company’s decision to make the gaps between the iconic ‘peaks’ bigger instead of making the overall bars smaller.
