Despite tougher trading conditions in the UK, The White Company saw its operating profit rise by 2% to £17.6 million in the year to 25th March.
Sales grew by 7.6% to £198.4 million in the period as the retailer opened new stores in Chelmsford and Liverpool and resited shops in Leeds, Bicester Village and London’s Marylebone. At the end of the period The White Company had 51 stores including temporary outlets and seven concessions.
The White Company chief executive, Mary Homer said: “I am extremely pleased to announce another record year for The White Company and I am very proud of what the team have achieved. The growth has been across both our channels and we have now also started our international journey opening two stores in the USA in the last six months.
“Next year is a year of consolidation, investing in both the infrastructure and IT and also moving to new headquarters. This will ensure we are well positioned for our future growth.”
