The White Company has released figures suggesting that its full year profit to 28th March almost doubled from last year.
The figures show that operating profit increased 97% to £12.8million from £6.5million in the same time frame as last year and its total sales rose 13.8% to £163.6million from £143.8million.
The company, which focuses on clothing, homeware and furniture, has suggested net margins continue to improve via reduced discounting and improved buying.
The White Company commented: “In the run-up to the important Christmas period, trading performance across all channels has accelerated with customers responding very well to our new seasonal ranges.”
Will Kernan, chief executive added: “The exceptional achievements of not just the last year, but the last four years are a testament to the whole team and a unique brand that this year celebrates its 21st anniversary.”
As well as successful profits, the company has opened two new stores, making total UK stores 50, with 11 stores in the Middle East, Saudi Arabia, the Gulf States and Lebanon.
