Toy retailer The Entertainer has announced that their year-on-year profits have grown by 38%.
Total sales were up by 7.4% and online sales were up by 28%.
This success saw the retailer pay out £1.9 million to its staff in bonuses. They also donated over £2 million to charity.
Gary Grant, founder and chairman of The Entertainer, said: “I’m delighted with these results and credit our continued success to a combination of tight cost control, the strength of our own label offering, our skill at capitalising on trends such as L.O.L. Dolls and our enthusiastic, loyal staff.”
The Entertainer will open 12 new stores and refit a further 10 existing stores, including a total relaunch of their flagship store in Westfield London.
