It has been reported that SuperGroup, owners of Superdry have seen increasing profits due to a wider range and stronger infrastructure.
Figures show that the groups revenue hit £254.7million, a rise of 22.3% in the 26 weeks ending 24th October. Figures have also revealed that retail sales rose 17.2% in comparison to the same period in 2014.
The company have also been expanding its womenswear selection and adding women’s rugby to its Superdry Sport collection as well as it’s collaboration with actor Idris Elba.
Chief executive officer at SuperGroup, Euan Sutherland, said: “SuperGroup has made good progress in realising its strategic objectives in the first half and has delivered profitable growth, while continuing to invest in the business,” adding “Central to this is the ongoing process to get ever closer to our customers who clearly appreciate the product innovation that is widening the Superdry offer. With a successful first half completed, the business is well placed for the significant peak trading period,” Sutherland continued. “Whilst comparatives in the second half are more challenging, the development of Superdry into a global lifestyle brand is proceeding with pace and this, together with the strength of our product offer and increasing efficiency, will enable us to deliver long-term sustainable growth.”
To add to its success, the company opened 23 international franchised and licensed stores taking the total to 244 stores.
