It has been reported that Subway and Aramark are to extend their partnership by opening five Subway stores across Aramark’s UK operations by end of the year.

Aramark, the food, facilities and uniform service has four Subway stores already in areas such as Robert Gordon University, Aegon UK, Sparsholt College and Chichester College as the company plans to expand its stores in non-traditional locations.

Due to open this year is a fifth Subway store at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford and the two companies are working together on new projects in the US and worldwide.

Area development manager, Greg Madigan, said: “The success of our partnership with Aramark is due to the wide range of locations in which the company operates, and how easily the Subway brand can integrate into those locations, whether these are colleges, universities, hospitals or businesses.

“Non-traditional locations are a key area of growth for the Subway brand - the simple operations involved in running a store and the convenience offer make it a perfect fit for these locations."
