Sports Direct has announced that Matt Pearson, its acting chief financial officer, is to leave the business.
In a statement, the company said Pearson is leaving the business to join another employer.
While Pearson will remain in post until 31st December, the company has appointed Herbert Monteith, a long-standing member of its finance team, as interim head of finance to help facilitate a smooth transition.
Herbert will continue to work closely with Karen Byers, global head of operations, and Sean Nevitt, global head of commercial.
Sports Direct chief executive, Mike Ashley said: "Matt has been a valued member of the Sports Direct family for over nine years and he will be a loss to the company. I wish him all the best for the future and would like to thank him for his time at Sports Direct."
