Mike Ashley has declared that his move to acquire lingerie brand Agent Provocateur has been completed. The Sports Direct owner fought off competition from private equity firm, Lion Capital to finalise the deal, which is estimated to have cost between £25-30m.  It follows Ashley’s move to establish the brand as the ‘Selfridges of sport’, beginning with their acquisition of an 11% share in French Connection.
