Selfridges is set to be the first department store in the world to feature a permanent cinema.  It will open to the public at the end of November at its Oxford Street store.

The cinema will be equipped with the latest state-of-the-art sound and vision technology, and will offer customers food and drink, as well as a membership loyalty programme.

The cinema will be open all year round, and will be open until after store operating hours.  It will have an entrance from within the store as well as from the street.

Simon Forster, Selfridges’ managing director, said: “For us this is a very exciting, yet natural extension to what Selfridges does, which is to provide customers with an extraordinary experience all year round.”
