Supermarket giant Sainsbury’s have been named the best supermarket in the world for sustainable seafood, according to the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC). The annual supermarket league table counts more than 300 fisheries in 30 countries, with the rating in part coming from the amount of MSC labelled in-store. The company currently have 225 products with such labels in-store, whilst other supermarkets in the table including Waitrose, Tesco, Lidl and Aldi. All of those saw significant improvement in the year, which the MSC regarded as great news for British shoppers.
