Sainsbury’s has cut the price of 125 summer foods before this weekend’s heatwave. The supermarket says a basket of barbecue items costs £6.95 less following the price cuts. With temperatures set to be as high as 32 degrees this weekend, Sainsbury’s is expecting sales uplifts across many seasonal lines.
Food commercial director at Sainsbury’s, Paul Mills-Hicks said: “With a weekend of hot weather ahead, our customers will be stocking up on everything from sausages to strawberries. They can find great quality products for fantastic value at Sainsbury’s.”
