Sainsbury’s is recruiting 150 digital experts for its office in Manchester, including software developers and engineers, in order to boost its digital presence ahead of its tie-up with multichannel retailer Argos. The move is the latest in a scheme that has doubled the retailer’s digital and technology headcount over the past year.
Jon Rudoe, digital and technology director at Sainsbury’s, said: “The world is changing rapidly. Our vision is for Sainsbury’s to have a world-class digital and technology function to ensure that we can deliver great services for our customers whenever and wherever they want to shop with us.”
