Robin Terrell, chief customer officer at Tesco has revealed that he will be stepping down to persue a new career direction.

Joining Tesco in February 2013, Terrell started as a multichannel director and in 2014 he served as interim boss, as well as holding a non-executive director position at Karen Millen. Other non-executive positions include Lazada Group, Monica Vinader and Wilko.

A Tesco spokesman said: “Robin has decided to resign from Tesco in order to pursue a different direction in his career and we fully respect that decision."

"We’d like to thank Robin for his significant contribution to Tesco during an important time for our business. We wish him well for the future.”

Tesco stated they would find a replacement “in due course”.
