A poll for Mintel’s 27th annual British Lifestyles report has revealed that 83% of Brits are concerned with the increases in price of goods and services in the wake of the impending Brexit negotiations. The fall in the value of the pound has already begun to influence imports such as food and clothing, and with those prices set to continue uncertainty lies ahead. When combined with the current inflation rate, most analysts have predicted that there will be an impact on the household budgets of Brits, with new market trends beginning to appear in direct response to this as evidenced by the growth of discount supermarkets, Lidl and Aldi.
