Approval has been granted for a new Aldi supermarket and residential development which will replace the former Chronicle & Echo building in Northampton.
An Aldi spokesperson said: “We believe this proposal offers a real opportunity to increase local shopping choice and bring a prominent, well-known site back into use for the community.”
The new Aldi store has been said to create 35 jobs.
