After the brand was put up for sale by private equity company 3i, following poor December sales, Agent Provocateur has seen a host of bids being made. There are said to be at least a dozen potential buyers, with the board and shareholders set to make a decision regarding the offers later this week. Amongst the bidders are Endless LLP and Theo Paphitis, who owns rival brand Boux Avenue. The company are looking for an offer that exceeds the company’s £30m debt, with sources stating that some of the bids placed meet that requirement.
