Online grocer Ocado saw growth in its retail sales in the first quarter, up by 13.1% on the previous year. However, whilst average order volumes also grew, the pricing pressures due to the weakened pound saw the order amounts begin to fall. The company attributed much of this to a reduction in the number of multi-buy promotions, with average spend now down to £110.84. The decline of 1.6% marked a slowing in the rate from previous quarters.
