Popular online retailer, Not On The High Street opened its headquarter doors on Saturday to seek new creative talent to join the business.
The project called Pitch Up was a chance for small creative business to pitch their business and products to the online retail experts in the hope of become a partner (seller).
This is Not On The High Street’s second year and they are expecting around 200 businesses from around the UK to turn up at the Richmond Upon Thames headquarters, with a fifth of them being signed on the day.
The second event which will take place on the 21st July and named Start Up is designed to provide creative talent with practical tips and advice on how to turn ideas into a business.
Simon Belsham, chief executive, said: "The UK is a hotbed for creative small business and together with the wider creative industries, delivers £84 billion to the UK economy every year.
"We already work with 5,000 of the best creative businesses across the length and breadth of the UK and over the last year, 17 of these partners sold over a million pounds with us.
"Pitch Up has proven to be a brilliant way for us to discover and nurture this talent and I’m hopeful that we’ll find the next million pound partner this weekend."
