Nordic Bakery, the Scandinavian cafe, is to open a branch in London’s Seven Dials district, joining a host of new signings.
The brand is the latest signing to the area, following the opening of cult bakery and cookery school Bread Ahead and street food-style restaurant Chick ‘n’ Sours.
Miisa Mink, co-owner of Nordic Bakery said: “Covent Garden is strengthening its reputation as a hub for creatives with the arrival of contemporary independent shops and restaurants. Many overseas retailers are choosing the area as their flagship too and the whole area has a grown-up urban feel.
“Our location on the main pedestrian walkway of Neal Street is close to the interconnecting streets of Seven Dials and offers visitors a peaceful place to stop and enjoy a fika or to take away a coffee and lunch.”
Julia Wilkinson, portfolio & group restaurant strategy executive at Shaftesbury, said: “Nordic Bakery and Bread Ahead are excellent new additions, both passionate about what they do and sure to bring something different to Seven Dials. Together with the investment made in relocating 26 Grains, a homegrown success story for Neal’s Yard, they create a shining example of Shaftesbury’s curation of the area. The exciting cafés and restaurants here complement Seven Dials’ distinctive international fashion and lifestyle offer.”
