A report by influential academics has suggested that the ministers and the public have become complacent after decades of consistent food supplies and stable prices for the UK, which will be greatly affected by Brexit. Written by food policy experts, the report also states that without significant policy changes Britain is heading for a period of insecure, unsafe and increasingly expensive food supplies. The report come on the same day that David Davis, the Brexit secretary, heads to Brussels for a second round of formal talks with the EU on departure arrangements.
