Plans have been approved for a new £125 million designer outlet to be opened in Lincolnshire.
The new location will be situated next to the A1 and have space for 107 shops. It will span over 220,425 square feet.
The plans were proposed by independent retailer Oldris & Downtown, which has traded in in the area for more than 200 years. The centre will be developed on land surrounding the Downtown store and will be developed by the retailer in partnership with Freeport Retail.
Richard Broadhead, managing director of Oldrids & Downtown, said: “Our major investment will significantly enhance the retail offer both in Grantham and the wider area, and bring a host of new facilities and job opportunities to the region.
“The designer outlet centre will comprise premium tier one brands, many of which we already partner with. The development will attract more visitors and tourists to the area, boosting the local economy.”
The development of the centre is set to create 1,700 jobs.
