Outdoor retailer Mountain Warehouse is considering a £200 million flotation on the London Stock Exchange, having hired investment bank Rothschild to investigate the options.
The business is currently 85% owned by founder Mark Neale, with the rest of the stock owned by the management team.
A potential flotation seems increasingly likely following the news that Christmas sales at the brand grew 28.6% in the six weeks to January 3rd.
The chain currently has 191 stores, but is reportedly looking to increase this to 300.
