Clothing retail chain Monsoon reported a decrease in full-year profits and sales, with total sales down by 9.2% from £464.9m to £422.1m. In response to the figures, chief executive Paul Allen noted that despite a challenging year for the company, the recent upturn in performance was a clear indicator that it is moving in the right direction. A significant turnaround programme was implemented in 2015, with Allen stating that “the building blocks are in place but we now have a lot of ground to cover.”
