According to Sky News, Sports Direct International has become the preferred bidder for Jack Wills.
Jack Wills has been seeking a buyer for the last month.
A deal could be announced as early as Monday, although, one insider has said that nothing has been signed and the deal could still fall through.
The deal is expected to be structured as a pre-pack administration, which is the same structure of many of Mike Ashley’s previous takeovers. If a pre-pack administration does take place, it would be handled by KPMG.
Sports Direct and Edinburgh Woollen Mill were in a two-way battle to acquire the struggling fashion retailer.
