Industry veteran, Archie Norman has been appointed as the new chairman of Marks & Spencer’s. The British retailer announced the decision on Friday, with Norman set to begin his new role on September 1st. Previously, he had worked as director of home improvement retailer Kingfisher, supermarket Asda, and as a chairman of ITV. In a statement released by Norman, he noted that he is “looking forward to taking on the role of the Chairmanship of Marks & Spencer as the business under Steve Rowe's leadership faces into the considerable challenges ahead in a rapidly changing retail landscape."
