A meeting of the Board of Directors of the Benetton Group took place yesterday, where it was announced that the company had accepted the resignation of chief executive officer Marco Airoldi. During the meeting, Tommaso Bruso was appointed as chief operating officer and chairman, Francesco Gori was granted powers over core stuff matters. Airoldi had been with the company since 2013, first as a consultant and then CEO, helping the Benetton Group initiate its refocus and relaunch plan.
