The bakery, which has made produce for Tesco and Marks & Spencer is now facing closure, putting 250 jobs at risk. The company has suffered in response to the fall in the value of the brand in response to the Brexit vote, making £28.5m last year but still operated at a loss. The Finsbury Food Group, who owns Grain D’Or, has said it is consulting with the 250 employees ahead of the planned closure.
