B&Q is expected to announce a significant decline in sales this week, as a slowing housing market continues to have a negative impact on its UK performance. Analysts at Jefferies expect the company to announce a 4% drop in like-for-like sales in the second quarter when its parent company, Kingfisher, releases its figures this week. Jefferies also pointed to a "softer housing market" contributing to its prediction, which follows significant research suggesting that Britain's residential property market has slowed considerably since the Brexit vote last year.
