John Lewis saw sales grow by 7.7% year-on-year last week, which was its biggest ever sales week.

This was heavily down to the retailers Black Friday offers and also the fact that they offered a price match of competitors through its Never Knowingly Undersold policy.

It has said that both the website and stores traded well, with some stores achieving a record week.

Black Friday was the busiest day although sales were up across other days to the promotions starting earlier in the week.
