The latest addition to Amazons team is Mr Andrew Murphy who has been appointed the role of the newest chief information officer. Murphy is due to take up his new role on the 1st of February and leave his old post as the group productivity director for partnerships where he led the change programme.

He will be taking the place of Paul Coby who will sadly be leaving the business at the end of April after a long seven years.

Sir Charlie Mayfield, chairman of the John Lewis Partnership, said: “I want to take this opportunity to thank Paul for his outstanding contribution to our business and the legacy he has left. Paul was the architect of the IT strategy for John Lewis, which helped to transform the business into a leading omnichannel retailer.”

Murphy joined the John Lewis Partnership in 1992 and since then has held an exceptional number of roles. Some of the roles include managing director of John Lewis Aberdeen, director of operational development before becoming retail director and group productivity director.
